About Garden PDF
Printable garden-planning kits for US backyard and raised-bed vegetable gardeners.
What we make
Planners that start from your own frost date
Garden PDF makes four printable kits: The Winter Plan, The Seed-Starting Countdown, The Companion Planting Plan and The Season Record. Each is a zip of two PDFs, US Letter and A4, that you print at home and fill in by hand.
They share one idea. A garden runs on the date of its last frost, not on a zone number. So every kit prints frost dates for 108 US stations from the NOAA 1991–2020 climate normals, and every chart counts weeks from the date you write down.
Crop timing, spacing and seed data cite US extension and university publications, and each kit ends with a numbered sources page. The Companion Planting Plan goes a step further and marks each pair as tested, mixed, reasoned or lore, so you can see how good the evidence is.
The covers and chapter openers are painted plates. The pages in between are plain on purpose, so they print well on a home printer.
